Goldspot brings back “Ina Mina Dika”
Those of you who are familiar with old skool bollywood will have recognised the title, “Ina Mina Dika” (eena meena deeka). From the 1957 film Aasha sung by Asha Bhosle and Kishore Kumar, Eena Meena Deeka quite possibly became India’s first rock n roll song.
Well, LA’s Indian rooted band Goldspot bring this track into present times with their fabulous and tasteful rendition. Its a slow-strumming acoustic guitar, jingle stick tambourine sung with front man Siddhartha Khosla bringing in a Beatles-esq eclectic rock vibes to the classic.
