DAS RACIST // NEW ALBUM + FREE DOWNLOADS

Himanshu Suri (Heems), Victor Vazquez (Kool A.D.) and Ashok Kondabolu (Dap) make up the Brooklyn, New York based hip-hop group – Das Racist.

Being recognised for using a style humour, obscure references and as described by Pitchfork media ‘top-shelf wiseassery and sneaky political incisiveness.’ They have established a name for themselves with the release of their 2010 mixtapes ‘Shut Up, Dude’ and ‘Sit Down, Man.’

Das Racist‘s first album, the ‘Shut Up, Dude’ mixtape, was released as a free download in March, 2010. (Download Below)

Six months later, on September 14, 2010, Das Racist released their second mixtape  back with a Mishka, Diplo, Mad Decent and Greedhead Entertainment– ‘Sit Down, Man’ (also as a free download). Guests on ‘Sit Down, Man’ include El-P, Despot, Vijay Iyer, Roc Marciano, Keepaway, Teengirl Fantasy and Chairlift with production from Diplo, Dame Grease, Devo Springsteen, Sabzi (of Blue Scholars and Common Market) and Boi-1da … making this one of the hottest projects. (Download Below)

 So what’s next for Das Racist?

September 13, 2011, will see the release of Das Racists first non-free album, titled ‘RELAX’ out on Greedhead Music label. The album will have productions from names like Diplo, El-P, Rostam Batmanglij (of Vampire Weekend), and Anand Wilder (of Yeasayer), as well as guest appearances from El-P, Danny Brown, and Despot.
