The microcosm of a creative mind …

Through a random sequence of clicking, I ended up on his fan page on Facebook. Born in Mumbai, raised in a small town outside of Lucerne, Switzerland, Mirko Lalit Egger aka Mirko-Kosmos.

When I first discovered Mirko’s music – I thought my god! If the Silver Surfer had an iPod, cruising through the galaxies he’d be listening to Mirko-Kosmos!!

Concentrating on the sounds you can tell Mirko has developed his own brand. Through a mishmash of complex synths and multilayered percussion programming, this dude has some serious fusion going on between many styles ranging from classical Indian to electronica, breakcore and drum ‘n’ bass. I like to call it Kosmic/Kaotic Mash Up!

However there more to MK – he isn’t just about the music, he’s an intense video-/ photographer and character designer. Creating his own artwork and videos for the music he produces.

Since 2007 Mirko’s tracks off side project Mahisha has reached our ears through air play on radio stations from across the globe such as Radio BBC1, Asiannetwork – Electroeast (UK) and Ethnotechno (USA) to name a few.

So – Mirko … a true cyberpunk rebel, a universal warrior carrying an eternal creative light within.

Where words fail, his art speaks.

My favourite track: Lightwarrior … Just feel the serenity …
