nuphlo : control room

Just received the latest Nuphlo track in my inbox from the man himself! Its a 12″ and digital release on a US label called Terminal Dusk Records out next month!

On the AA flip side, our very own Nuphlo shows his skills with the extra busy, high octane dubstep smasher “Control Room”, guaranteed to set the floor on fire!

Nuphlo 40 Thieves EP (Studio Rockers)

After recently releasing the track ‘Karma Than Calm’ on the Re-Wired EPNuphlo has teamed with boss of Studio Rockers, Tony Thorpe to bring you “40 Thieves”.

This three track EP draws on Arabic and Middle Eastern influences that paint a vivid picture of Sultans, Souks and stories of the Arabian Nights.

Nuphlo and co-producer Tony Thorpe, fuels the tracks with pulsating basslines; glitchy tabla beats; ragga vox and complex grime and dubstep that really brings the tracks alive!

audio chef – the nasha experience (FREE DOWNLOAD)

Last night The Nasha Experience organised an epic gig in aid of the Pakistan Flood victims (as previously blogged). The line up included Talvin Singh, State of Bengal, Osmani Soundz, Nerm & D-Code, Rita Morar and many more.

Today they are interviewed and featured in KMAG.CO.UK with a free download too!

Snippet of the interview:

The traditional view of Eastern music involves colourful clothing, intricate choreography and lavish production. However, one group of musical pioneers from East London are bringing the genre to a modern Western club scene.

Nasha Records
have been producing Eastern influenced dance music for almost 20 years, and in doing so have pioneered an original sound, palatable to both eastern and western tastes.

“The label set up in 2002 after we left Outcaste records,” explains founder Ges-e as we relax back at their studio after a gig at London’s East Village. “We wanted to continue what we had been doing, but with more of a dance edge.”

Please do make your way to this event – Promises to be a cracking night!

As part of the flood relief efforts, Nasha Records have teamed up with The James Caan Foundation to host an exclusive night of eclectic musical flavours.

Mercury Music Award winner Talvin Singh headlines the event, alongside DJ Krust (Full Cycle), dubstep DnB producers The Nasha Collective, State of Bengal, Pandit G (Asian Dub Foundation) and many more.

The event is hosted by BBC’s Bobby Friction with Shahin Badar (Prodigy’s – Smack my Bitch up) performing live.
