New World Audio [NWA] is the latest record label by dj/producer Squarewave [The Nasha Experience, TNE] He has teamed up with his brother Sukh Knight [True Tiger, TNE] and fellow TNE member Shandy, for this new venture. Even though all three are from The Nasha Experience, the sounds of NWA are very different. It houses the same high quality Dubstep and D’n’B but less eastern influenced tracks.

NEW WORLD AUDIO

New World Audio, a record label set up and run by Square Wave and Sukh Knight from The Nasha Experience. This label will house the tracks that which aren’t eastern influenced but still produced by the lads.

The first release on New World Audio sees Sukh Knight team up with fellow East London producer Shandy for the dancefloor smasher, “Look At”. Featuring cheeky vocal snippets from the DJ Krust classic – Kloakin Device – the track has been given the seal of approval by the big man Krust himself.

The B-side showcases a solo production from Shandy. having previously released much harder tracks on Nasha Records “Lion” is a much more chilled out and dub inspired track, with soothing pads and soulful sax licks, taking you on a journey through the world of dub.

Forthcoming releases include music from Kromestar and Dark Tantrums, and of course more from Sukh Knight and Shandy.

Already on iTunes to purchase!

audio chef – the nasha experience (FREE DOWNLOAD)

Last night The Nasha Experience organised an epic gig in aid of the Pakistan Flood victims (as previously blogged). The line up included Talvin Singh, State of Bengal, Osmani Soundz, Nerm & D-Code, Rita Morar and many more.

Today they are interviewed and featured in KMAG.CO.UK with a free download too!

Snippet of the interview:

The traditional view of Eastern music involves colourful clothing, intricate choreography and lavish production. However, one group of musical pioneers from East London are bringing the genre to a modern Western club scene.

Nasha Records
have been producing Eastern influenced dance music for almost 20 years, and in doing so have pioneered an original sound, palatable to both eastern and western tastes.

“The label set up in 2002 after we left Outcaste records,” explains founder Ges-e as we relax back at their studio after a gig at London’s East Village. “We wanted to continue what we had been doing, but with more of a dance edge.”

the nasha experience: update

In a few hours NASHA’s next installment will be releasing. I blogged this a few weeks back and now its finally here on purchase.

Review taken from NASHA:

Both tracks – Greasy Spoon and Matix – offer their own atmospheres, whilst remaining stylistically true to that Nasha sound. Greasy Spoon enters your ears, its thumping beat and moody bass forces out anyone’s best screw face.

Whack up the volume, and the palpable vibrations make the air seem as if in slow motion. Be lulled by the hypnotic, persistent beat that leads to the finishing touch of eerily beautiful vocals, cementing this track as a true intoxicant.

What follows on is an obvious epic. Matix is relentless. Building up an intense pressure of instrumental chaos, the delicate vocals are set against this unremitting mountain of hard-hitting noise, making the second drop a real avalanche of sumptuous sounds.

The NASHA gents: Ges-e, Osmani Soundz , Sukh Knight, Shandy and DJ Squarewave.
